- Jay D. Miller
Heading the team working on the Akoda litigation is Jay D. Miller, Esquire. Mr. Miller received his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore Law School. He is a member of the Gamma Eta Gamma legal fraternity, and has served on numerous local college advisory committees. He is also a member of the Baltimore County, Maryland State and the American Bar Associations as well as the Maryland Association for Justice. He is licensed to practice in the United States District Court and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Miller is a trial attorney who is recognized as an aggressive and successful litigator and negotiator, having achieved many million dollar settlements and verdicts. His areas of practice include medical malpractice and personal injury. Mr. Miller’s results for children damaged at childbirth and those afflicted with Cerebral Palsy have earned him the respect of his peers and the gratitude of many clients. In addition to his prior experience with medical malpractice cases, Mr. Miller also represented numerous former patients of Dr. Mark Midei. Midei, a well known interventional cardiologist, was accused of placing coronary artery stents that were not needed in excess of 550 patients. Mr. Miller negotiated a global settlement for 250 of his clients- all former patients of Dr. Mark Midei. The settlement is believed to be the single largest medical malpractice settlement in the history of Maryland. - Paul M. Vettori
Mr. Vettori obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and graduated Order of the Coif (high honors) from the University of Maryland School of Law. He has a broad background in business litigation, including securities law and has practiced exclusively in the personal injury and medical malpractice specialties for the past 20 years. He has obtained multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for injured clients. Mr. Vettori has been recognized by his peers for his accomplishments as a trial lawyer by having been invited to membership in the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Vettori is licensed to practice law in Maryland. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. - Danielle S. Dinsmore
Ms. Dinsmore graduated magna cum laude from Widener University School of Law in 1995. Since that time, she has defended every classification of health care provider, hospital and health system in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Federal Court against claims for medical malpractice. Ms. Dinsmore has also represented these same clients before the Board of Physicians and Nursing for licensing matters. In 2014, Ms. Dinsmore joined the Angelos Firm where she has since zealously represented the interests of patients in medical malpractice litigation. Ms. Dinsmore is recognized by her peers as a top-tier trial lawyer and her experience representing health care providers is a definite advantage in her current practice. - Glenn E. Mintzer
Mr. Mintzer is admitted to the bar in the states of Florida, Louisiana, and Maryland and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Since becoming a lawyer in 1993, Mr. Mintzer has specialized in large complex litigation, including class actions, involving various corporations (securities fraud), the tobacco industry, the cellular telephone industry, the healthcare industry and the polybutylene pipe industry. Additionally, Mr. Mintzer has had more than fifteen years of experience in cases against medical device and pharmaceutical manufactures as well as medical malpractice. He received a B.S. from University of Florida in 1990 and a J.D. from the Saint Thomas University Law School in 1992. He is a member of the Maryland, Florida and Louisiana State Bar Associations. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Division of Maryland. - Aaron R. Parker
Mr. Parker is admitted to the bar in the states of Maryland and Tennessee and the United States District Courts for the District of Maryland and the Western District of Tennessee. Since becoming a lawyer in 2001, Mr. Parker has specialized in large complex litigation, including products liability medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers actions as well as medical malpractice among other areas. Representing and paying attention to the needs of individuals in the midst of large litigation is a particular focus. He received a B.A. from Earlham College in 1992 and a J.D. from University of Memphis in 2001. He is a member of the Maryland Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Division of Maryland.
